Go sms notifications after update

before the gingerbread update go sms would use the ring tone for sms. Now it seems to use the tone for general notifications.

Is this completely my imagination? Does anyone know if it can be changed?

You can change it under settings.

under settings where? I don't find anything under go sms settings amd I already have set the sms ring tone under sound settings, but go sms seems to ignore that and use thaw generic notifications ring tone.

make sure you have the original sms software notifications turned off.

I've been having the problem you describe with ringtones since the update but my Go SMS has continued to work fine. To check your ringtone in the latest version of Go SMS, go to Menu - Settings - Advanced - Notification Settings. From there, you can test and reset notification settings.
