It's not your dream phone.
It's the one after that!©

Re: Charging Thunderbolt?
Since you've tried multiple chargers, it's obviously one of the other points of failure, either the battery or the phone.
You said it's a new extended battery, does the same thing happen if you use the original stock battery?
Given the behavior you describe with the light your car charger, I'd actually be willing to bet there's short somewhere within the phone itself. This is unfortunate, since it's the hardest piece to replace, but if you take it to the store or call CS, they should be able to help you (as long as there aren't signs of water damage or physical abuse). - 10-24-2011, 10:16 AM #7
Re: Charging Thunderbolt?
Check the charging port itself. Since we are constantly on and off the charger the port wears out. This happened to me. make sure the "pins" that go into the usb cable are still there or intact.

Re: Charging Thunderbolt?
Yes you are are absouletly right on what it could have been! But your all wrong, i found out that the OEM battery is 1000mah and the extended one is 2750mah the cords i was using would charge the extended life battery, once i got the OEM in the mail i tried all all the cords again, and it all worked like it did before! SO there is something different in the one usb cord to make it work with the different power. I am still looking into different types of usb cords and rtatings now. So my phone is good and all cords are still good the Original Battery that came with my phone just died and then i went out and got a Extended life battery! IT is a difference somewhere!

Re: Charging Thunderbolt?
I have both battries have used different cords with no problems, I would take the battries to a corp. store ask to try each in a phone use your chargers see what happens.
