Default If Gingerbread is new to your Thunderbolt today

If your getting the full Gingerbread update today and you find that your having problems with certain apps, remember that your apps were downloaded and installed on Froyo. Start by clearing cache on any app that's acting funny. (YouTube not playing HQ videos). If that doesn't work then clear data.

The only app I have trouble with in Gingerbread is Gameloft's Modern Combat 2.

After updating from Froyo to Gingerbread, the game now has a popup stating that the game was not purchased on this device and that I must buy a copy...
Already spent $7 on the app and had trouble installing it back when I first purchased it.
Clearing the app cache made it worse. App just crashed when run.
Uninstalled and reinstall tells me that the game is not supported on my device.

I guess I'll need to contact customer support (again) to get a Gingerbread version of the game.
Ugh, GameLoft is such a pain. Seems that GameLoft ties your DRM license to the device firmware version.

Good thing you posted this. I'm having the same problem with a couple of games I bought from them. Avatar just says it isn't the original game and makes me close it. Annoying. I will be contacting their customer support and hope they can address this issue.
