Best Screen Brightness Widget?
I have the htc screen brightness widget and the android one on the power widget. One starts out too bright and the other too dim. Either at the second setting is too bright. I have always hated auto brightness.
Is there a screen brightness widget that works like a slider? I searched the market but the one I found (called screen brightness) doesn't work well on tbolt imo. - 10-27-2011, 03:27 PM #2

Not sure about a slider, but I like the one from Curvefish called Brightness level I think. You can go back to auto brightness with it which was nice.

Actually screen off all the time is best. LOL
I don't like auto brightness never have. Its always too bright or too dim or fluctuating for no reason. I have an extended battery so no worries there. - 10-27-2011, 07:11 PM #7
Re: Best Screen Brightness Widget?
best widget app is widgetsoid.
it has tons of features and settings.
for it's screen brightness widget it has 4 options
a) 10%/40%/100% toggle
b) 10/30/100 toggle
c) seek bar (see image)
d) custom setting where you pick your 3 levels to toggle between.
plus with widgetsoid features you can put widgets in your notification bar.

Re: Best Screen Brightness Widget?
oh yeah i forgot to mention, widgetsoid while being really powerful is pretty cumbersome to set up. but then again how often do you change the widgets on your phone? most people spend 20 minutes getting them the way they want it, and then they just use them. so if it take 30 minutes to get them all set up, does it really make a difference?

The best I've seen the the brightness setting slider in bamf 1.0.7 however vzw vvm doesn't work in that rom and I've got 5 more free months of it. There are some other things I don't like but i wont bore you with them.

One touch Widgets has a 6 step brightness widget. Along with the other wi-fi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc Widgets. All Widgets also allow for custom colors and effects.

I tried that one but had trouble with the slider. Kept accidentally activating buttons.

Re: Best Screen Brightness Widget?
Maybe I just don't understand but if I menu, settings, display, brightness, it has a slider. I set mine to very low on the scale because I work 3rd shift and it's always bright enough for me. When needed I just move the slider if I need the screen brighter.

I like it easily accessible so I can turn it down indoors.and up outdoors. I really only need 2 settings - 20% and 100%
