Yes, I am in Baltimore and to be honest, it has been slow since the Gingerbread update. No it's slow and choppy.

Birmingham, AL here. Just swapped out for a fresh battery. It came up with LTE as it usually does, but then dropped to 3G and stuck there. Tried toggling mobile data, but it then went to 1x. Put it in airplane mode for a few minutes which has always done the trick in the past. LTE is back and has stayed for over 30 minutes now.

was told that no 4g phones can be sold until 'soon' b/c the 4g lte is down nationwide and unable to activate them.

yet vzw gets the 'attaboy' award.

typical vzw. have issue. keep quiet. let community go nuts trying to figure out. then when forced, mention there might be an issue.

Yeah..same here. TN that is. Mine has been screwy for the last few days. But has constantly dropped in and out today. Starting to get an aversion to TECH...that is not good...I pay all them money for cell/data and a 1/4 of the time its down...may force changes one this contract it up...

tried that before and it didn't help. tried it again just now and now I'm stuck on 1x... I was at least on 3G before!

I have no 4G, 3G, or 1X at the moment here in So Calif. Tried going in and out of Airplane mode to no avail.

manually switch to CDMA, it will work on 3g then

No 4g for most of the day. I do have 3g sometimes. But now that I'm at home I using my wifi. South west Ohio.

Tuscaloosa, AL, which is about 55 miles southwest of Birmingham, has no data at all. We're still a 3G market, and my Bolt is showing nothing, not even 1x. I rebooted and changed network mode to CDMA, but no dice. Good thing I have wi-fi.

I asked my daughter (she is about 15 miles from me) and has the TBolt.....she says she has 4G (as of 30 mins. ago)...but then this is the same daughter that WON'T let me root her phone. I bet she is saying to herself "See Dad, I have 4G because I am not rooted"....I would say to her "Whaaaat-evah" LOLOLOL
