    Default 2.11.605.9 RUU Now Available

In case anyone wants the official full 2.11.605.9 RUU for flashing your phone, it's now available. I like to have the latest RUU in the event I decide to flash the phone for a fresh install of the OS, kind of like wiping your Windows computer and re-installing the OS from scratch.

    Android Police:

or RootzWiki (which has the MD5):

    Rooted and DeOdexed version here:

Thanks for sharing! I still haven't received this via OTA, and have been looking for the RUU since Sunday!

Can you re-install current versions of software if you are not rooted? I know you can't install older software, never tried re-installing current software though.

As long as your phone software is either the same or an older version than the RUU, you can flash it without being rooted. I was able to flash the MR2 RUU after I had received the MR2 OTA. I haven't actually tried flashing any of the GB RUU's yet as the phone is working so well (don't want to risk screwing that up! ).

Is there another download other than RoorzWiki because it looks like the FBI shutdown MegaUpload? I am looking for the Deodex version..

In case anyone wants it yet, found a link (below) to the stock 2.11.605.9 RUU. (hosted on Minus). It's pretty slow, but works yet.

This is the version before the most recent OTA, right?

Yes. This was the previous release from back in December. The most recent version is 2.11.605.19 710RD.

Have you flashed it yet? Has it fixed any issues you might have had?

Haven't tried flashing it yet. Probably need to root first in order to flash an older version (than what's currently on the phone, the last OTA). Looking at trter10-2's All In One Tool (in the rooting section) and will probably try it tomorrow.

This RUU will work for your version, but there's no point unless you just want to downgrade

Cool! Thanks! I was going to try flashing it first and root if it didn't work. I just may root anyway after flashing it as that last version worked great for me and I'd like to be able to: disable OTA's (prefer flashing RUU's anyway), restore the hyperlink functionality the 2.11.605.19 version took away due to Apple (see link below), block ads via host file, and make full backups.

So was this the real reason why .19 was released?
...still refusing to use the new name. It's the Android Market!

I think so as the .9 version worked fine. Never experienced any of the issues stated for the .19 release (Verizon's update pdf here:

    Device Features
+ Device is enabled with the Wireless Alerting System.
    + Improved data connectivity.
+ Improved device stability will decrease device resets.
+ Improvements to default mail application allows Yahoo! Mail accounts to receive messages properly.
+ Resolved issues with Mobile Hotspot connectivity.
+ Incoming calls now display the correct state, when applicable.

Anyway, I'm about to try flashing the .9 RUU and then root the sucker! Woohoo!

I think so too. I don't have these problems either. The only thing that could be improved in .9 is the data connectivity. It can be slow to connect at times. After reading all the problems other people have, i'll stick with .9 and be glad i didn't accept the OTA.

Successfully flashed 2.11.605.9 over 2.11.605.19 (root not needed), phone working normally afterward and can confirm the hyperlink functionality is back (prompts to open videos in either Internet or YouTube app with a check box for default). Then successfully rooted (via trter10-2's All In One Tool)!
