White screen with HTC logo

Wondering why when I back out off some apps, Facebook bring one of them my phone goes to the White screen with the HTC logo for about 5-10 seconds? It is rather annoying, does anyone else experience this? Thanks

I believe that is what happens when Sense crashes. I have that happen occasionally, but I don't use Facebook. It seems to happen to me when I am trying to back out of apps in a hurry, rather that just go to the home screen.

I thought we were supposed to back out off apps to properly close them instead of just going to the home screen? Is this not necessary? Thanks

I thought it had something to do with apps on the sd card.

This is a common issues with a number of Sense roms, Sense crashes because of some apps and widgets... I seen it all the time but never with ADW or Launcher Pro, so it seems to only be the stock launcher that causes this issue..

I've had it happen a few times too. Just after an app gets closed, instead of seeing the home screen I see the white HTC screen. I always figured it was Sense resetting.

Yah... stop using Facebook. At least that seems to be a recurring theme to me anyway as I don't use any social networking apps and have subsequently NEVER experienced Sense crashing... (the Universe trying to tell us something?)

You get the white HTC screen when the home screen has been dropped from memory and has to be redrawn. I use to have that problem with older bamf roms, I don't remember having it with stock, but that was a long time ago. You can google home screen redraws to see various solutions. Personally I recommend going with a ROM like bamf forever or Gingeritis,a new launcher will also work. I use go launcher ex.

I had that all the time until I switched to ADW launcher. Since then I haven't seen the white HTC screen. I had to factory reset my phone because of an SD card issue and haven't re-installed ADW yet and Sense crashes all the time. Most annoying. Once I get my replacement SD card I'll re-install ADW launcher. Since I started using ADW I haven't looked back. It works so much better than the stock launcher.
