I just flashed a new ROM with the kernel:
2.6.35.10-g8b7aeb7
htc-kernel@and18-2 #1

and on the CallRecorder settings it says:
Kernel patch version
Kernel is not patched or 2wcr patch too old

What Kernel can I flash that would work and how do I flash a kernel?

I know that I had ziggys kernel and it worked (). Before flashing a new kernel MAKE SURE YOUR ROM IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE KERNEL or it won't work. Just ask someone on the forum for your ROM if Ziggy's kernel from November is compatible with the ROM. It's easy to flash, just go into clockwork and choose flash zip from SD card and click on the .zip file, EZPZ.
