Possible To Fix the Camera?

Being a photographer I purchased this phone due to it being the best camera phone out there at the time. I have been happy with the phone for this use until recently. The focus is very sticky. I have to hit the phone (hard) several times on my palm to get the focus to begin working again. This "working" focus only lasts for a little bit. The next time I use the phone for photos, I have to do the same thing. Is there anything that can be done to fix this or am I SOL? Thanks...

Hitting the phone on your palm hard several times to get it to work properly for a few shots deffinately rules out a software, scripting, app, issue. Sounds like the lens in the camera is not in the fixed position it shold be in. If you have the protection plan, VZW should replace the phone.
