Dead Thunderbolts

My HTC Thunderbolt died Friday, my Wifes died Saturday. Two Verizon stores and Tech Heros cheched it out there is no damage to the phones.
Bateries are fine. Neither will start. Charge indicator light does not light when charging.

What do we do?

Call Verizon, nicely explain what happened, and ask them for two CLNR's.

Are people getting CLNRs without paying for them even if the phone is beyond the one year warranty?
