You are one of the few that never had an issue. After every update there were scores of threads of people who's phones were stuck in update boot loop hell.

How can you be so sure? People that don't have any issues tend to not have any reason to post that fact.

We've been lucky as well as both of ours are still running fine and have not had problems others complain about. I guess like everything wlse you only see complaints not the praise.

That could be the very reason why it took so long for the Tbolt to get ICS... making Sense work with ICS with the (now) limited hardware of the Tbolt. I'm still waiting for the person to say they have ICS on their Tbolt (via OTA) AND it works just as well or better than GB.

I share that sentiment. I'll believe it when I see it. Hopefully we're wrong and it works just as well if not better! But time will tell. I'm hoping to see a full RUU so I can just flash it. That should be the ideal test with a clean newly loaded OS.

Great news. Question though, I have rooted the stock rom and permanantly deleted some bloat under the (now false) pretense that it would not be updated. Will performing a factory data reset effectively un-root my phone or will it be a little more complicated than that?

The factory reset will not affect root. Check out trter's All-In-One Tool to unroot the phone so you can accept the OTA.

Thanks for the tip. I think that is the tool I used to root it. I know that when I did, it also disabled OTA updates. Hopefully I'll be able to unroot successfully.

According to a post on FB by HTC, the reason for the delay was connectivity issues.

They haven't begun to roll it out quite yet. They only said it was ready. Hopefully it starts soon.

I'm running the BAMF leak and loving it. You folks will enjoy the official release (assuming they don't screw it up).

If memory serves, once that Verizon PDF comes out announcing / explaining the update, the OTA is not far away.

Been using my VZW Tbolt w/o any problems since the last up-date 2.11.605.19 710RD: Never a single lock / re-boot since? In fact it's been working so well I'm almost not wanting to "chance" the up-grade to ICS. It's a great phone / has a (beyond) great camera and since I've installed the "Resound" battery it lasts the whole day w/ medium (to sometimes heavy) usage. . .

BTW: my 'bolt has been running for 15Hrs w/ the Resound battery installed and I'm still @ 73% batt today (lite useage).

    It's Not HEEEEERRRE Yet
I've had this TB for 2 years.
I just came by the forums to see about rooting to install a Custom.
After all this time, I think I'll just wait for the RUU.

I'll wait for the rooted rom, but it's good to hear that it's finally coming through. It will be nice to use the video camera..............

What video camera? Both mine (front and back) have worked since one of the early updates.

Same here, I had a few issues with the front camera working with Gtalk and skype until an early update, but always worked to just take pictures.

My posts were only in reference to ROOTED phones. Take my advice or leave it doesn't matter to me.

He might be talking about some of the ICS ROMs, where the camcorder didn't work.
