    Ten Ways To Increase Battery Life


    The HTC Thunderbolts average talk time is 6.30 hours while standby is 13.8 with these tips you could potentially increase your phones battery life

    1. Replace Battery (see below for more)


    2.Flash Battery Saver Kernal onto phone (see below for more)


    3. Remove Live Wallpapers (see below for more)


    4. Check whats using the most power (see below for more)


    5. When not in use turn off (see below for more)


    6. Increase time between syncing (see below for more)

    3. To remove a live wallpaper
    -Menu<wallpaper<Htc Wallpapers
    -Then choose a different wallpaper

    4. To Find what process or app is chewing up your battery
    -Menu<Settings<apps<running
    Once in there find a app (NOT A SYSTEM PROCESS)
    -Click the app/process
    -Stop


    5. To turn off phone
    Hold down power for 3-4 seconds and select Power Off


    6. Reduce Syncing Time
    Whatever it is an RSS feed, gmail ect
    -menu<settings<account&sync
    -choose one
    -Data& Synchronization
    -Then choose how often it will update every hour is good if you need to check mail then manually refresh


    7. To Reduce Screen brightness
    -Menu<settings<display


    8. Charge Cycle
    -Let phone compleatly drain power then fully charge do this every time you can

    -select "quick settings"
    -unselect bluetooth

    Most of them are very useful, but #8 is simply not true - there is no reason to cycle the battery on a Thunderbolt except a few cycles in the beginning to calibrate the battery, then maybe once every few months after that. Keeping the battery between 20% and 80% charge as much as you can will make a marginal difference in battery longevity, but not by a whole lot. Basic to Advanced Battery Information from Battery University has more than you'll ever want to know on the proper care and feeding of different battery technologies.

    My extended battery is 18+ months old and is still going all-day strong.

    #2) The kernel was not designed for the Thunderbolt and won't work on the new ICS OTA. And AOSP in general is easier on your battery than Sense.

    Otherwise as a basic guide your post is okay. Have you looked through any other Tbolt battery saving threads?
