Juice defender not working? UPDATE- Download beta

Is juice defender not working on anyone else's Bolt? I used it and ultimate juice to control my data settings On my Inc.

every time I exit it disables itself.

Edit: BETA works!

Hum. I hope they fix this. Auto disabling my 3G/wifi when on sleep saved a ton of battery on my Inc

Yeah I forgot with this guy we have to go to his website and post issues. I had an issue months ago and ended up forgetting about it because of the way providing feedback is a pain.

I can confirm that the BETA version of juice works. Also Ultimate juice works with the beta.

No root needed. I'm running stock and it works. Some advanced features are only available on root thou.

how can tell if its doing its thing? i read somewhere there is supposed to be a walk through set up screen...i just see enabled and kept it default

Instead of default hit advanced. It opens a lot of options up.

On mine (downloaded the Beta) it just gets a ton of errors in the log and doesnt work. Anyone else seen this?

Odd. Mine doesn't seem to. Always shows the radios as all on. Does yours ever show the radios off or all off?

agreed. sometimes it works although most of the time it doesnt.

With spare parts i find my wifi on & running 100%, which would indicate that JD is not working properly.

i did find when i turned my wifi off of "never" to "15 minutes" on screen shutdown under the stock android settings that JD seemed to work better and i would constantly have the Red dot icon.

bbbbuuuuutttttttt the wifi would never correct itself and turn on once i was using the phone so i had to constantly manually switch the wifi off then on, which is a MASSSIVE pain.

It does when I push my power button while the display was off but before i unlock it.

Defaults settings in JD for me. Mine never shows radios off which is what tipped me off to it not working right.

Try Auto Wifi Enabler. It iwll turn on/off your Wifi with known Networks. Basically when I leave my house and get far enough away it automatically turns off Wi-Fi. When I am driving home and get close enough it turns it back on for me to be on Wi-Fi goodness while at home. Will also rememebr other Hotspot/Wifi networks you log into and do the same.

It does not use GPS, btu rather Cell phone towers to esitmate where you are,, which is good, becuase not polling your GPS chip using up precious battery power.

Mine got an error as well. I force closed it and opened it back up, it seems to be working now and has not disabled itself like the non-beta version.

I heard JD has a similar feature that can enable/disable wifi based on location. Anyone tried it..and does it use GPS or cell towers?

I've posted in a couple of forums already that the app Green Power works far better on the Bolt and its cheaper than Ultimate Juice. There's also a free version. I suggest you guys try it on your bolts.

Does green power allow you to set provision so that certain apps can access the network whenever they need them?

For instance, I need to stream Pandora while the display is off.
