4.3" in your pocket?
As a guy sitting on a NE2 with a smaller smartphone, eying all these 4.3" LTE Android phones coming out right now, one main concern is the size in pocket.
Do most people find these phones acceptable to put in their front pants pocket? Both business casual pants as well as jeans?

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about something much different.

I have no problem with it in my front pocket, I had an X before this and only took it out when sitting for a long time like dinner/driving

Coming from the Incredible I had the same concerns but have been very happy so far. It almost is better with the larger phone because it doesn't move around as much as my Dinc did.

LMAO!!! You have a mind like mine....
Anyways, about the 4.3" phone, I haven't had much problem keeping them in my pocket. It is still cold (in NH) and I usually keep it in my coat pocket but even in pants pocket it does not bother me. I just make sure I don't have my keys in the same pocket. - 03-20-2011, 05:16 PM #13
I went and played with the TB at BB recently and was surprised at its size. I have been worried about whether I wanted something as big as the online demos seemed to show it as being. But it really wasn't bad. I used to have and love a Handspring Visor Edge and never had any pocket problems with that. The TB is about the same size, just thicker. I think unless you put a big crunchy case on it, it will be fine. The Dell Streak, now that's too big. The TB is fine.

I can slip it into khakis for school, but jeans, I generally carry it/put it in a hoodie pocket.

coming from an env3 this thing is huge, but im surprised that it actually fits nice in my jeans front pockets. def. takes a little getting use to, i feel the urge to take it out when i sit down still. but if i dont its not uncomfortable.

Once you go 4.3 - you will never go back. No problem in Suit pants, shorts etc...

I have no problem in my slacks/suit for work, and at home/weekends jeans are fine and i even wear the slim fit jeans, but not the skintight ones

I'm suprised that DJBeanPole hasn't had something more colorful to say about the topic.

I have the phone in my front jean pocket right now, and don't have a problem with how it feels. I'll see during the week how it feels with slacks on.
I usually keep the flat screen side toward my leg, and the curved back facing outward.
Though I plan to pick up a holster for the phone, if my account ever activates. - 03-20-2011, 07:20 PM #25
it fits perfectly in a front pocket.
