    Default 4.3" in your pocket?

As a guy sitting on a NE2 with a smaller smartphone, eying all these 4.3" LTE Android phones coming out right now, one main concern is the size in pocket.

Do most people find these phones acceptable to put in their front pants pocket? Both business casual pants as well as jeans?

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about something much different.

I'm waiting for my TB, but I used to have a Droid X. It was workable. I normally wear a suit, so it always went into the suit jacket. The weekends - jeans worked, but was uncomfortable after a while. I would always end up taking it out when sitting for lunch/dinner.

I have no problem with it in my front pocket, I had an X before this and only took it out when sitting for a long time like dinner/driving

Coming from the Incredible I had the same concerns but have been very happy so far. It almost is better with the larger phone because it doesn't move around as much as my Dinc did.

Not a problem here. Fits quite nicely and doesn't show as much. And I even have the extended battery on it.

its not a problem. if you wear baggy or relaxed style jeans then it will be similar to any other phone. skinny or tight jeans youll prolly feel it an notice the 4.3 phone lol

This phone is actually wider than the X and shorter. The X is pocketable so this is even moreso.

LMAO!!! You have a mind like mine....

Anyways, about the 4.3" phone, I haven't had much problem keeping them in my pocket. It is still cold (in NH) and I usually keep it in my coat pocket but even in pants pocket it does not bother me. I just make sure I don't have my keys in the same pocket.

I went and played with the TB at BB recently and was surprised at its size. I have been worried about whether I wanted something as big as the online demos seemed to show it as being. But it really wasn't bad. I used to have and love a Handspring Visor Edge and never had any pocket problems with that. The TB is about the same size, just thicker. I think unless you put a big crunchy case on it, it will be fine. The Dell Streak, now that's too big. The TB is fine.

I can slip it into khakis for school, but jeans, I generally carry it/put it in a hoodie pocket.

Why can't you put it in your jeans pocket?

coming from an env3 this thing is huge, but im surprised that it actually fits nice in my jeans front pockets. def. takes a little getting use to, i feel the urge to take it out when i sit down still. but if i dont its not uncomfortable.

I am coming from a BB to the Tbolt. I actually like it better in my pocket. The BB always shifted sideways but the Tbolt stays in an upright position. It works just fine in suit pants during the week and jeans on the weekends.

I would just use a holster, my preference, I can put it in my pocket but only when walking or standing. Seido makes the best holster for an uncovered phone!

Once you go 4.3 - you will never go back. No problem in Suit pants, shorts etc...

+1 for Seidio cases...but their batteries are overpriced and under deliver.
    Cheers!

Actually, I don't wear skinny jeans, just the pockets on them are a lot smaller.

I'm suprised that DJBeanPole hasn't had something more colorful to say about the topic.

I have the phone in my front jean pocket right now, and don't have a problem with how it feels. I'll see during the week how it feels with slacks on.
I usually keep the flat screen side toward my leg, and the curved back facing outward.

Though I plan to pick up a holster for the phone, if my account ever activates.
