Sense Dialer PROBLEM?

So I havent seen this posted anywhere. But someone has got to have this problem too because I have two thunderbolts, one is stock and has the problem, the other is rooted and I've tried every current rom and its also not working. Here is the problem:

When I click the phone icon to open up the dialer. On that screen it shows the number pad and then some space above it where it shows either the most recent called people, or if you start typing a name, or a number it searches through your contacts and highlights them for you. But on my phones that search function is RIDICULOUSLY SLOW. It takes anywhere from 10 seconds to never for the recent calls to load and show up there when first opened. Once they appear the search function works fast and as expected. If they never appear at all I have to click the button at the button right which takes me into my contacts menu, then hit the back button for them to show up. This happens EVERY TIME.

If this explanation wasn't clear I can throw up a video of it on youtube.

Here are the factors that I think are needed for the bug to occur:
-Have some number of contacts synced from gmail.
-Have some number of those contacts linked with facebook and or twitter accounts using htc sense facebook sync or htc sense twitter.

The reason I believe this is problem is because when I reflash a rom and only sync my gmail contacts, they apear instantly and are instantly searchable, but after I sync with Facebook, they are either slow, or don't show up at all.

Can anyone else confirm this is a bug?

are you using launcher pro?

Yes. I just tried it with sense launcher, and it seems to be working...

So, why would it work for the sense launcher and not launcher pro? It's an entirely separate program that is being "launched"?

Yeah, I think you're on to something regarding the linked contacts. I have no linked contacts, just Gmail, and mine is always instant.

Thanks for the link over to that thread.

This kind of sucks. I'm going to talk to the maker of the current ROM I'm using, as he has provided launcher pro as the default launcher, and I assume doesn't realize this is a problem with LP and sense dialer.

If you are having this problem...please post over in that thread in the launcher pro forums. So far no response, the more with the problem they know about the better...
