mute the splash thunderbolt movie on reboot?
this is driving me nuts, the movie that plays on boot is so loud that i have to muffle the phone in my jacket while rebooting it at work. (i probably do it once or twice a week when i lose connection at work and/or to just reboot the phone)
it doesnt matter if i muted the media volume on the phone before hand, it still loud as hell.
i dont have a need to hack it or root it now. is there a way to mute that movie without hacking/rooting? - 04-13-2011, 11:19 AM #2
have you tried putting the media and ringer volume at 0 before rebooting?

When the ringer and media are set to mute prior to restart, the thunder does not sound. At least, that has been my experience.

It's not your dream phone.
It's the one after that!©

Thanks Frank. And while I've had it for awhile, I haven't paid much attention to it, so I just double checked it. Cranked the media volume and rebooted. No sound at all. Just make sure you open and enable it first. It says something about being silent on shutdown, but it is on reboot too.
