4G mobile hotspot slow

why would my 4G mobile hotspot be doing speeds of 3G on my computer? tried different servers and cant get anything higher than 2mg down. tried different speed test sites all about the same

Depends on your location. If you have a lot of other wireless networks around it may be getting interfered with. That's the issue when I try it at work. At home I get identical readings on the phone and the computer, but at work I only get about 3Mbps down using Mobile Hotspot because there are literally about 15-20 other wireless networks that pop up.
