LTE 4g coming back online
well its been basically 24 hours since the LTE network was taken offline by vzw because of issues. I see ppl posting they have 4g this morning and I can confirm that I have 4g data back up in central NJ!
So looks like 4g is back up and running... for now
have a lightning fast day everyone!

Thought it would be better the burying it in one of the 100s of "lte is down" threads.

It worked from home when I got up this morning, I had mine on WiFi all night.
Which...my battery went from 38 to 37 from 11PM to 5AM...wow.
When I got to work, 11 miles West, LTE isn't on.
Here's the difference that I found. Yesterday, I turned off ehrpd and selected CDMA with LTE on/off. If I didn't turn off ehrpd, it would stay at 1X.
So last night I just left ehrpd enabled and left it on WiFi.
Now, I still have that enabled but if I use the LTE on/off, and choose CDMA it will go to 3G at least instead of 1x.
So they've got something cooking.Last edited by dajogejr; 04-28-2011 at 09:54 AM.

Maybe we can take this thread with the op's permission and use it as a guide for the cities being 4G turned back on and have it in one centralize location list. Just a thought for some!

Just woke up and 4g is on in OC.
Was worried I wouldn't have fast speeds for my hotspot use this weekend. - 04-28-2011, 10:34 AM #21
Well, it looks like this week's other massive outage is now officially behind us -- Verizon just issued a brief statement to let us know that its 4G LTE network is now "up and running." Details on exactly what caused the outage remain light, however, with the company only saying that "network engineers and vendors quickly identified the issue and solved it." What's more, while it says that Thunderbolt users should now have "normal service," those with LTE modems may still have some problems when switching between 3G and 4G modes, although that will apparently "continue to improve."
just saying
Got that from Engadget incase anyone was wonderng - 04-28-2011, 10:37 AM #22

Gonna try a few things. - 04-28-2011, 10:49 AM #23
project same here bro, natvi just posted 3G as well so what is going on for Charlotte and the surrounding areas still stuck with 3G. Verizon stated officially 4G was back up nationally within the last hour via twitter and a few other outlets. Now they did say -eHRPD but I smell bull somewhere cause it ain't happening on my phone yet!!!
