lose signal yet full bars?

hi,
can anyone tel me why, in many areas when I attempt to get online I see I have full signal strength and it tells me theres no network connection??

Then it just between 3g and 4 g to 1x..which I understand 4G is sitll not everywhere and could take a while.


But why is it when I have full 5 bars, it tells me theres no network connection??
not even able to send a text or email.. ??

I did notice that when recieving this phone, I had the older market version and was adviced to do a hard reset to fix the problem. The tech rep did mentio that its odd to not have the new market version of the software and that I should exchange it for a new device..

does it sound like this phone has issues??

No network icon but full bars is relating to voice capabilities/strength.

You'd be able to make phone calls just fine
