I agree with both of you.I'm keeping Gingerbread and I'll update when it does, and if I wasn't rooted, I'd just wait. Although, if I had just got my phone, or had to factory resent anyway it would be awefully hard to resist.

If i wasnt rooted i would accept this update absolutely.
However, if i wasnt rooted, i would have taken the mr1 update also, and that could have screwed everything up.
You never know exactly what's going to happen with these things, but i'd take the chance on mr2 definitely. It's made to fix the last stupid update!! haha.
This at least gives me a somewhat safer seeming gb radio for ginger bamf right..... - 06-10-2011, 12:11 AM #6

That's expected. I believe you hit the volume rocker up when you get to that screen.and t brings up your recovery options.
As for the fact that this wipes the phone honestly I dont care, in fact I kinda like the idea of it wiping away all remnants of the now broken OS. I've done two factory data resets so far so its no biggie to set things up again.Android is all about Personal Choice: Droid RAZR HD, Droid DNA, SGSIII, SG Note 2, HTC One X+, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus4... Hating is so Apple... we're better than that!

I'm complete.... confirmed 1.66.605.2. I was running original stock prior as I never received the MR1 Update.... a few things I've noticed so (more to come), not sure if these were in MR1 or not
- Loads with new "My Verizon App - Include Data Usage Widget"
- VPN Settings - (Wireless & Networks)
- 4G/3G Toggle as expected - Settings / Wireless & Networks / Mobile Networks / Network Mode
- 4G LTE Speed Tests were normal
- 4G Antenna/Signal seems to be way more stable, I was seeing it drop every few mins prior to loading this update and it's been stable over the last 30mins
Just like strock hard reset - Market downloaded loaded all previous apps back correctly, Wi-Fi profiles were imported back via Google Synch, etc
Will update as I have the chance to test more items....Thanked by 4: - 06-10-2011, 01:59 AM #20

Notes from the original post notes and GPS question...
Increased 4G Signal Strength: Was at 4G / 1-2 Bars all night prior, now at 3 bars sitting in the same spot
GPS: Locked WAY faster... again note I was never on MR1, so not sure how the performance was on that release, but much faster than ship stock...
Let me know if anything thinks of something else to check...Thanked by: - 06-10-2011, 02:12 AM #22
