Default Verizon support is tweeting "no set date for update"

In a couple of responses on Twitter today the Verizon support folks are saying there is no set date for the update. This tells me 1) it is not coming today, otherwise they would say so, 2) the idea of matching it with the July 6th tethering cut-off date is not firm.

Personally, I am OK for now since I don't have any serious reboot issues (no 4G here), and if this means they might speed up the GB work to include it in one big patch, all the better.

How the hell do they justify first releasing a broken patch that forces reboots, then just drag their feet for what is looking like 2 months, customer support my ***.

I guess that there were direct responses because I am following them and could not find that post.

The tweets were in reply to others, so they do not show up when you follow them, But if you go to their Twitter page, you can see both their posts and their replies.

If I hadn't installed the leaked MR2 update, I would be with you right now. The fact that they have a fix and they're not pushing it out is somewhat maddening to me (no reboots since I've installed MR2).

I really think that no one should pay attention to the VZW Support twitter... I have not seen them give out any information that either was extremely clear or accurate. If they are in the department I think they are in, it is the department us reps have come to term the "Excuse Dept" since they never do anything but make excuses, and never fix anything.

Aside, the verbiage we have is still the second have of June. No specific date, just somewhere in the two weeks starting tomorrow.

I suppose there is only one way we will know for sure... the day its pushed.

We're still technically in the first half of June, and I don't recall VZW give out an exact date for the release. Once again, we should not believe in rumored release dates, because they're just that...rumors.
