Is there anyway to have the keyboard not vibrate everytime you type? gets annoying on long emails.

go into settings --> language and keyboard --> keyboard settings and look for vibrate on keypress and uncheck it

You might want to look into some of the keyboards out there. I particularly like smart keyboard pro. Lots and lots of customization. The latest beta has haptic feedback for the space bar only. Makes it great to know you are between words and not hitting b or n etc
