Will there ever be an update for an actual multitasking button, or an interface similar to the G3? Just wondering.

Getting the multitasking button requires root. A recent update gave the G2 knock code. Future updates could introduce parts of the G3 UI.

    Hold down home. That's multitasking.

I know that. The reason I want a separate button for it is because holding the home button is so slow.

Why need a multitasking button when our phones have swipe aside? Just use three fingers to swipe your most common running apps to the left to get them out of the way, then swipe back to the right when you need them.
