Some games not working on 4G data connection

I'm new here so I apologize if this has been answered in another thread. My G2 (running KK) suddenly has started this weird thing with a few games. They will only work when connected to WiFi. If I'm away from home and only connected to 4G the apps will either force close or simply just try to load and never complete. Any clues as to what might be causing this sudden change? I've searched for a few days now and come up empty. Also hoping to avoid a factory reset.
