Had problems with proximity sensor before Kitcat which solve the problem I just updated my phone today and my proximity sensor is back or even worse than before Kitcat
It is slow to return from near to far and sometimes just remains near
Have to clean the sensor and area thoroughly however the problem still remains
Any idea before I call Verizon
Thanks

My notification bar will not pull down in portrait mode as it use to, unless I do it in slow motion, works fine in landscape.

I've been having this problem too since the latest update. The screen immediately turns off after being turned on, and screen goes black on phone calls without placing phone to my ear. Usually wiping the proximity sensor (upper left) fixes the issue for the time being, but it is VERY frustrating! Seems to happen almost half the time I go to turn on the phone.
Is anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions?

Might be a little late here....but....had same problem. Had proximity sensor checked by local shop. Fixed it. Strange coincidence that it happened right after update though.
