Change the default download to extsd card

I have checked the traditional android methods for changing the default download to the extsd card and it appears you cannot do it that way. It is a pain to d/l then move the file to the extsd. Has anyone found a way to set the default download path?

I would like to do the same thing. Haven't found the answer yet myself either.

It is a standard android thing to be able to change it. I read the nexus 5 doesn't have a ext SD slot and it was changed for the nexus 5 and then left that way on the note 3. Very frustrating!
