filtering spam with email

hi,
I was wondering if there was a way with the default email app to filter out spam email?
on my pc the spam goes into my spam folder, on ym phone though it goes into my regular box.
suggestions?

You could hold the email for spam... and hit the move to folder button at the bottom and transfer it to junk... might solve it...

Your email provider should have a way to filter spam?

I have outlook, yahoo and gmail and all are filtered before they hit my inbox.

Have you tried adjusting the filters for your email?? Also make sure to mark as spam anything that you should not see in your inbox so email program remembers, do not just delete or move it.

I have all three emails pushed to my phone and do not get the junk/spam emails.

I have set up spam filter on yahoo but the spams come through on the Samsung Galaxy 4 and I am trying to find a way to stop it. I am not sure why the yahoo filters are ignored by Samsung Galaxy 4 email box for Yahoo Mail.
