    Default Verizon Speeds are awesome!

I just tested my new Note 3 and I'm getting about 20 more megabits than I did with the 5s! So far I'm enjoying the transition.

Same carrier and location? Damn, my S4 is faster than my sister's iPhone 5 but only 3-5 MBPS difference

Same carrier, same location...only thing that changed was the phone. The lower speed is in a different location...but blazing fast!

The wifi test was throttled wifi at work.

They were done in my home, from my home internet, and connected to a Madison server. I'm in the Northwoods of WI, so there are limited connectivity options in the speedtest app.

Yeah the thing is speeds can vary drastically even in a short period of time. This isn't my peak speed test, but shows variation even at non peak times. I have seen speed test on the 5s at 80mbps. Note that the 5s is a cat 3 device, and the Note 3 is a cat 4 device so theoretically, the note 3 can be 50% faster than the 5s,though not currently as Verizon hasn't deployed speeds greater than 100mbps yet. In theory if Verizon proportions b4 20x20mhz to its full potential then speeds can reach 150mbps.

I hear a lot of people talk about Verizon prices...
We pay 151 and change with taxes for 2 htc droid dna smart phones unlimited talk and text and 6gb data on a share everything...
Although we only use about 3.5 go data that's about 75 per phone with great coverage and data speeds... Yes I could get it slightly cheaper (not much). Forgot to add that that price is with my 18% employer discount... Just wanted to share this info

I pay less than that and I have 5 lines of service with 2 smartphones including one with unlimited unthrottled 4GLTE and 3 dumb phones on Verizon 550 minute family loyalty share plan, although my usage is not typical and the plan is legacy.

Vz prices are high, relative to other carriers. I came most recently from Sprint - significantly cheaper, and truly unlimited data, but coverage was poor enough to make me switch.

Very much miss the unlimited data. I'm capped on Vz, and almost always have to pay attention in the lasy few days of the cycle to make sure I do not go over.

Their speeds are the best in my area, but... I'd go elsewhere in a second if another carrier could come close to Vz in my area.

If you can live with 2gb , you can move to the $60 loyalty plan with unlimited talk and text and 2gb data.

Wow...you were right! I cut my phone bill in half, and so what if I go over; it's only $10 per gig. They took away tethering but I can get that back anyway with root.

Is it just that plan that is 10 per GB overage? I thought Verizon was $15 extra per GB and AT&T was 10 per GB.

I think it depends on your contract... I've seen $15-per and $10-per.

Vz's prices are high. 3 smartphones on Sprint, truly unlimited, $155/mon. But, unbearably slow.

And for the record, I think they all suck. One sucks at different things than the other (speed, price, etc.), but they still all suck.

It is $10 a moth for data ovetage...so even if I happen to use an extra gig big deal. $70 (w/overage is still quite better than $120 with a 22% corporate discount.

If you have verizon unlimited on FSP, then you could be paying $160 for 3 lines with unlimited unthrottled 4GLTE. Depends on what is important to you.

Also, Sprint is unlimited data, but not mentioning the speed, you are limited to smartphones and on device only. On Verizon Unlimited, you can have unlimited data on a tablet (not an option on any other carrier) and also an official unlimited hotspot plan (also not available on any other carrier)
