My Note 3 has been used since day 1 as a wifi-only device... does the factory warranty still valid?

I bought the Verizon Samsugn Galaxy Note 3 from a Verizon corporate store. Activated for just 2 days and then put my dumbphone on the line.

The Note 3 has been used as a wifi-only device since then. It doesn't even have a VZW SIM card inside.

If something goes wrong, is it still covered under the Samsung factory 1-year warranty? (assuming it's a defect) Or does it have to be used and active with a phone line to be eligible for warranty service?

Thanks!

You can go through Samsung at anytime even when your phone is not an active line.

But should you choose to have it warrantied through Verizon then it would have to be active on the line. There is no minimum activation requirement, so you can activate and call in right away
