After checking app manager, I find a lot of apps I didn't put on, don't know what they are,and
don't even use them. Are there any apps on my phone I can disable or delete w/o
messing up my phone?:-\

It's not just Verizon Note3 that has these...."apps". ALL phones on all carriers have these annoying "apps". I think you have to be rooted of some sort to get rid of them

A number of apps can be disabled stock but actually deleting will require root

The problem with stopping installed apps to me is, I don't know what they do and will it effect the way the phone runs?

Same here. I'm going to "disable" two a day and closely monitor my Note3 to see if I has any problems

Pretty much, without root you won't be able to disable or remove system apps. So it is unlikely to do. Catastrophic damage. If you see a problem you can always enable again.

Also read though what others have disabled in the thread that I linked to, it provides some examples of what others have done

You can turn off a ton of junk with no worries. The Bloatware thread dpham00 linked is a great starting point.

Rooted users can freeze apps safely via Titanium Backup. Wonderful app, worth the price.

Here is what I've frozen.
