I have not held the Obex, but based on the specs, the Defender is a little smaller.

    Seidio Obex
    Dimensions: 6.56in x 3.60in x 0.69in | 166.58mm x 91.56mm x 17.50mm

    Otterbox Defender
    Dimensions: 6.39in x 3.63in x 0.60in | 162.31mm x 92.20mm x 15.24 mm

I have the Defender, and it's quite comfortable to use and quite reasonable size for how well it protects. It's much better than the Note 2 defender case.

Thanks. I'm currently using the Defender myself and like it's feel overall, but would love the added water resistance as well.
