Text Messages - Recipient Autocomplete broken/changed?

Since the last update, my text messages have been incredibly annoying to send. Where before I could start typing in someones name in the TO box, and it would give me a list of suggestions based on their NAME, now it only offers based on the number associated with that letter (ie. ABC=1, DEF = 3 etc.)

How do i switch this so it allows me to autocomplete by alpha and not by numeric?
