yes, I know this is probably a stupid question, considering how much I've scoured the internet for this answer. I've always been on the edge of rooting my smartphone, way back when I had the Thunderbolt. well, right after I had accepted the 4.4.2 OTA update on my S4, I decided I would take the plunge and root my phone. well, as most of you know, we can't, at least not at this time.
my question is twofold: is this a verizon thing, or is it across all american carriers? and what's the likilhood that someone will figure out a way to root this phone eventually? I've never heard of a smartphone that can't be rooted, but apparently, I have one in my hand. shows how much i know...
