    My data will not work in wifi or mobile mode. I have strong wifi and strong 4g signal.

    I tried clearing the internet cache and that does not help.
    I tried a battery pull and that did not help.

    I tried clearing cache in recovery mode and I am not sure if it actually cleared the cache because after selecting the clear cache option I got a dead robot and then it rebooted on its own.

    I have a Verizon S4 4.2.2, Rooted with stock ROM.

    Maybe you can try removing and re-inserting the SIM card on the phone. Did this start to happen recently?

    If not ask Verizon for a new sim.

    i just noticed this this morning. so yes it is very recent.

    i tried removing the sim and that did not help.

    if it was a verizon issue wouldn't the phone still work on wifi?

    Your ability to connect to the internet would, but calling would not (unless you have WiFi calling).

    I'm having a similar issue with my phone. After upgrading to Kit Kat, my data has been flaky at best. Places where I'd have great to decent coverage, I have spotty to none now. I could send a text message in a place where I never had an issue and it fails because there is no data available.

    I've tried restarting the phone unclicking/clicking the "Mobile Data" icon and I still have issues.
