Photo's disappeared....again.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've had a bunch of photos disappear off my phone. The first time it happened I lost a few thousand. This time I lost hundreds. Most of them are backed up on my computer, but this is getting ridiculous. One day they are there, the next time I look tons missing.

Is there a way to have the phone copy the files to two different spots. They seem to be stable on the SD drive. It's the internal memory that keeps loosing them. Or is there an app that will back them up every night or something like that?

You've probably already considered this, but Google+ Auto Backup is available for this reason.
