Early Upgrade Question

If Verizon allows you to upgrade early, are you able to use the upgrade and purchase a phone from say Amazon or Costco or does it have to be bought directly from Verizon? Thanks for the info guys!

Verizon upgrades are through Verizon stores and website. The others are aimed at new subscribers. :'(

With the no.contract unlimited data options metro is offering I have a feeling VZW will need to offer some spectacular deals.

Well when your contract runs out you can buy through Amazon or whatever, I just didn't know if that would apply to when VZW allows you to early upgrade.

I've always gotten the sense that Verizon doesn't care, and will continue to do whatever they want.
