Smartphone on Verizon Prepaid plan?
Verizon told me that their smart phones will not work with the basic $50 dollar unlimited plan, and they have some pretty bad phones for that plan. I was wondering if this can be unlocked so I can get a really nice expensive phone and use it on their basic prepaid plan? I can get a Droid 3 but their prepaid plan for smartphones is too expensive, like 99 dollars.

No. Besides unlimited everything and no contract on a smartphone doesn't seem expensive at all.

If that was the case, then everyone would be on that plan.
