Maxx vs Rezound vs Nexus
I'd like to get a good 4G phone, but I'd like to tinker with it too.
What's the best phone for that? Could I buy a newer phone and hope that it gets custom roms in the future?
Also, should I wait for the Incredible 4G or Fighter?Last edited by LLStarks; 04-15-2012 at 10:17 PM.

Re: Maxx vs Rezound vs Nexus
The Galaxy Nexus is your best bet, regardless of what may be coming out next.

If you like to tinker the nexus is the way to go. I rooted my maxx but there is not alot out there for fully functioning ICS roms. If you want a phone that last 2 days on one charge and has good radio signal get the maxx. As far as the fighter (aka RAZR HD or RAZR maxx HD) who knows when that will be out. ICS has leaked for the maxx and you can install it but it takes some rooting experience. There is a write up on how to do it, I just never ventured in hopes it will be out in the next month or so.

Rezound for overall device.
Max for best signal.
Gnex for best to mess around with.
Signal stinks on the Gnex....rezound is a bit boring to me and the max a bit too wide

Re: Maxx vs Rezound vs Nexus
Tinkering? Absolutely the Nexus.
I upgraded from a Droid X to the Galaxy Nexus.
There's something to be said about Pure Vanilla ICS that's just so inviting.
I can do anything I want with this phone. It's simply a tinkerer's dream.
Added AOKP ROM with Franco Kernel and I'm seeing somewhere in the 12-14hr usage (light usage that is).
Get one cheap if you can. It's so NOT worth the retail price. I got jacked when it was first released.
