I tend to think that between a few online tech sites that I read regularly, I'm fairly up to date on topics like the link below...

http://www.change.org/petitions/at-t-sprint-and-verizon-protect-consumer-choice-on-the-internet

Is this petition founded with facts? Are vzw att and sprint throttling certain websites delivered to our devices?

I feel like this topic has been mentioned on the net but you'd think it would be all over these forums if it was true

It must be real, just saw this on CNET: Cry for Verizon to kill contracts grows louder | Mobile - CNET News
Here's the link to sign the petition: http://www.change.org/petitions/verizon-get-rid-of-contracts-for-wireless-service
This guy has collected 130K, he only need 20k more. So support him, you know that's the right thing to do.

Contracts are a good and a bad thing.
Good because it hides the upfront costs from customers that are typically too dumb to understand the new model will actually save them money. The subsidy I'm sure has saved tons of sales from being lost

It's a bad thing because if we want to leave a carrier we shouldn't have to incur such harsh penalties

Sprint does not throttle at all. I've had sprint for three years and have never had any of my services throttled. Att and Verizon are a different story though.
