No one's talking about this but it seems as though everyone thinks that there's only one set of data buckets.

Not true. If you go with just data-only devices, like tablets and MiFis, the data buckets are different.

These are the data buckets if you have a smartphone on your Share Everything account.

1GB: $50
2GB: $60
4GB: $70
6GB: $80
8GB: $90
10GB: $100

If you go with data-only devices, these are the buckets available:

4GB: $30
6GB: $40
8GB: $50
10GB: $60

The access fees are the same.

Jetpack/Netbooks/Notebooks/USBs: $20
Tablets (includes Mobile Hotspot): $10

Just wanted to put this out there. Share Everything seems like a better value for data-only customers (vs. current offerings).

For us, with two smart and one dumb phone + 2 iPads we are paying...

$130/month for 1400 min family plan with three phones
$50/month for data and hotspot on 1 phone
$30/month for data on other smart phone
$20/month for iPad2 data
$50/month for iPad3 data
~$5/month is pay for use SMS
TOTAL: $270

New Plan

$40+40+30+10+10 for access = $130
$70 for data for all devices
TOTAL: 200

With the corporate discount changes we will save about $65 a month or $780 a year. And, I will be able to use data on the dumb phone for the odd search and it will allow hotspot service to the one smart phone that we don't have it on now.

Works for me.

The plans really work for those who have a lot of devices and most of them cell phones. It gets iffy when there are a lot of phones on the plan and not a lot of tablets or none.

Tempted to go for the data only for tablets plan. Can get 2 4G tablets and it wouldn't be that costly. Though I'm still irked by charging per device.

dont forget you can always do the wifi hotspot on your phone and not need to pay for the tablets.

im going to assume that if you have a phone on the plan, you wont be able to add the data only plan price point when you add a tablet.

I was just wondering about this today, and I'm glad I could wander on here and find it so easily! Thanks for the info...paying only $10 more to up my tablet from 2GB/month to 4GB/month might be worth it the way I use LTE while traveling.

Just want to be clear, these are the prices and data buckets if you gave data-only devices on your Share Everything account.
