Default Samsung Galaxy S5 tether for folks with UDP

Basically, this is a non-option, right (at least until root)?

I bought an S5 knowing this was a long shot. Still have my UDP.

I'm not a very heavy tether user - I rarely need it. I'm thinking for now I'll just hang on to my Galaxy Nexus in the rare situation I need to tether.

That is not a very elegant solution, though.

I tether on my Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 no problems. No root needed and should work on the s5 as well. Verizon offers an unlimited hotspot plan for those of us with UDP. If you only need it on the rare occasion, then just activate and pay for the day or two that you need. The cost would be prorated, so about a buck a day, before employee discount if applicable

I also have the unlimited hot spot feature as I tether from my phone a lot. Just curious dpham00, generally how much data do you use on a monthly basis all told? Mine gets quite high and I was wondering if I was the only one.
