Sbould I wait for a new HTC One Max from Insurance?

I broke the camera on my One Max and filed an insurance claim on May 15th. They told me that phone was on backorder but should be available in 3-7 days; however, here we are into June and it's still not available with no ETA. I can get the One M8 if I want but the screen is obviously smaller which sucks. Is it worth waiting or are they just giving me the runaround?

Also, is there any chance they would settle for an LG G3 when it comes out, if they still don't have my phone?
