Default Verizon: Bring your own device?

Does Verizon allow you to bring a 4G LTE device to its network, or does that only apply to 3G devices?

You can bring your own device, but it must be set up as a Verizon whitelisted device. The best advice is to check their website (it'll ask you to put in the IMEI) or to call customer service to have them check that specific device out.

And pay attention to your contact date, they have been known to put you under contract which is not required on bring your own device.

If it is a 4GLTE only device then it doesn't have to be white listed. You can use an active Verizon 4GLTE sim and pop it into the device. Now, if it isn't white listed then Verizon would not activate it directly, you would already have to have an active 4GLTE sim.
