The Tablet Horizon

My Nexus 7 screen shattered to I need to pick up a new tablet. The Galaxy Tab E is new, but looks like junk. I don't want to spend tons of money so I think I'll end up with the Sony Xperia Z2 LTE 10.1" tablet. It has been out since March 2014 which scares me a bit; thinking Verizon will soon release a new mid level tablet. The Z2 is said to be getting 6.0. Does anyone have advice? The $349.99 price tag is about as much as I will spend.

If 349.99 is your limit then just get a Nexus 9. That would be my advice
