Should I keep or cancel my ghost line? Verizon u.d.p

I currently have 2 udp phones on Verizon that were subsidized with the 2 ghost lines going on 2 years ago. Now my wife and I need new phones I have the galaxy s5 and she has iphone 5s both are 16 gigs and we're having to erase stuff all the time. I want to hang on to udp for as long as possible. I know I have to pay full retail to keep my phone on udp, so should I just cancel ghost lines and save 20. a month or hold on for some loophole that I'm unaware of. Thanks to all in advance

Not sure what you are trying to do? It is my understanding that transferring the upgrade from the UDP line to tdp line then activating on UDP causes udp to be lost. You can transfer UDP to tdp, then sell the device, and use the proceeds to buy another phone for use on udp

If you are paying the $20 extra now, then you can upgrade using device payments and keep your UDP.
