Adding Equipment Protection to UDP

Does anybody know if there's any harm adding the free insurance/ equipment protection Verizon offers to my recently upgraded UDP plan? It's currently Declined, like it was on my old plan.

By pure luck I'm still paying 29.99 and only have the 1 phone/line. I've never used cases, but I keep dropping this ****er. I have it pulled up in the Verizon App, but as I'm sure others here know, thought of any plan changes gets stressful quick.

It's free because you have declined it. If you add it it will be like 9-11 dollars a month.

You can only add protection when you get the device or when the is open enrollment. Won't affect unlimited.

You can always get third party insurance.
