Can we receive a Verizon credit!

Our children purchased us two Sprint phones and we received them today (4/10/17). We paid our monthly bill 4/4, and it is posted on the Verizon account web site. It is a month to month account and have owned the phones for years. The payment is not due until 4/16. If we activate the Sprint phones before 4/16 will Verizon issue a credit? Thank you!

It would depend on your billing agreement. If it's a post-paid deal, then you need to see when the bill cut-off date is (that's different than the due date), and what you paid is for the previous month's use. Verizon would bill you for the pro-rated time you used between your last billing date and the day you cancel the service. If it's a post-paid deal, then you'd have to call them and see if they can issue a refund for the days already paid but you don't intend to use (and that's all up to the carrier... most will if you sweet-talk them).
