How bad is the screen really?

The biggest negative I see in reviews are on the screen - does it really suck that bad? I haven't been able to find a gtab at a store to look at, but am very interested in this thing. Is this a deal breaker if I want to watch videos on this thing?

If you are looking at it straight on it's not too bad. The viewing angles are where it gets rough.

It plan sucks not just the screen to do anything with it u have to root and use a custom rom its buggy big and heave best to get a xoom or other tablet I bought mine and was done with tablets then I came across a nice xoom on Craig's list for 400 sealed in te box and I tell u what it was a night and day experance...

I believe office depot has them out on display for use. In all complete honesty you have to look at it straight on to even see the screen if you're in a well lit room. In the dark it's great! Plus it's cheap! I've seen them on Buy.com for 249.00 with free shipping. Add a free Buy.com coupon and get it for 239.00. Awesome deal!

After hearing about the screen issues, I was a little concerned about getting it. Now that I have it, the screen is better than I expected. Yes, it has a narrow viewing angle. But looking straight on, it is quite bright and very viewable. It definitely looks better in dimmer light, but I'd expect that with any backlit screen. Maybe the reports lowered my expectations so that once I saw it, it wasn't an issue. If I went in expecting a Super AMOLED screen, my experience would be completely different.

I hope i feel the same way when mine gets here on friday. I doubt it will be as bad as people say. Im sure the screen will be good enough for me also.
