Video Chat
Has anyone found any audio or video chat apps that work on this Tablet? I tried Tango with a friend who had it on his Epic 4G, and the best I got was some really static-y audio for a short time, then when I tried to turn on video, it force closed.
Anyone had any luck with any other apps? - 03-15-2011, 04:47 PM #2

If the Thunderbolt hype is to be believed, it will soon be available for Skype, but not at launch, and who knows if that will work with these tablets.

Try yahoo messenger with plug_in. Fix market in order to see the latest version. To fix the market install Titanium backup. Open titanium and follow instruction on the. ... go to backup and store tab and scroll down to google services framework .. touch the Wipe Data box to wipe data. Exit and power the tablet down by holding the power button for three seconds to open the power menu then choose the power off. Turn the tab back on then press market to open. You should be able to search for the latest version of yahoo.

I have the latest version of Yahoo, but it also force closes on me when I try to use video, and the audio is horribly static-y.
I am using Vegan, so I can try to flash back to TNTlite. - 03-17-2011, 08:42 PM #7
Which version did you have? I think the lastest was 1.3.3, I might be wrong because I deleted it since I did not need to use video chat. Also, you can try TnTlite which was the fw I used with Yahoo. Another thing, after installing, don't open it right away, reboot the tablet first before you open Yahoo, it might help. Secondly, it would help if after you install a fresh TnTlite, don't install any other video chat apps, as well as do a factory reset before you install the TnTlite. Most of the errors stay in you system even when you re-install the new ROM without doing the factory reset. Good luck!

I'll give it a shot this weekend when I have time to tinker with it. Thanks for the suggestions!

I played around with it, re-installed TNTLite, and tried again. I still get horrible static, and the video will work for a few seconds, then the app dies. At this point I wonder if I have bad hardware in my tablet.
Edited to add: I was using Yahoo, not Skype.Last edited by circustravis; 03-28-2011 at 04:17 PM. Reason: adding content

How did you get the yahoo video chat add on loaded? I have Yahoo messenger app loaded on TnT lite from the market. But the yahoo app doesn't give me the option to load the video chat addon.
