I looked around for the Green Hornet 3D files that originally came with the EVO 3D when it first came out with Sprint. Unfortunately that was a limited promotion and the video will no longer play after it contacts HTC's servers.

So I looked around for what I could do to test for 3D video playback on the phone since HTC's own store charges pretty outrageous rates for buying videos. (And no trailers to watch that do 3D)

Turns out, any standard stereoscopic (side by side) MP4 video will work and display properly in 3D on the EVO. I haven't tried MKV yet, but I was definitely able to get 3D mode switch on automatically with my first test video.

If it looks like the attached pic when you open it up and play it on your PC, likely that it'll play in 3D on the EVO.

Using the Watch app didn't find the file, but using a file explorer (I used Explorer by Speed Software) and selecting the file will prompt you for which app to open it with. Select "View video" and it'll open right up in the player.
